Marie Connole is a visual artist, illustrator and teacher from Co. Clare. Her practice explores the influence of culture and human form on the psyche, re-working sacred iconography and archetypal symbolism.
The artists' work has featured in eva International, the National Gallery of Ireland, Tulca and the Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin,
In 2017 Connole held a six-month solo exhibition at
the Irish Arts Center, New York.
The current exhibition ‘Immrama: Voyages to Kilstipheen’ opens on Friday 4th May in Ennistymon Courthouse Gallery.
‘Immrama’ is a literary genre focused on individuals who seek the Otherworld in mystical places off the west coast of Ireland.
