Marie Connole is a member of Faber Studios in Limerick City and former Chairperson of Ground Up Artists Collective(GUAC). A graduate of NCAD and NUI Galway/Burren College of Art. Recent projects include 'Rianta', a GUAC arts event that took place throughout Ennis in 2011. Other projects include Aughty Public Art Projects, curated by Dr. Áine Phillips, and The Midnight Court, a touring participatory event with artist Maeve Collins.
Marie is a tutor with Clare Adult Education Service and has previously worked at the Anita Traverso Gallery in Melbourne. Awards include residencies at the Kilkenny Arts Office, and at SIM, the Association of Icelandic Visual Artists, in Reykjavík. She was Clare County Council's 2011 recipient of the Tyrone Guthrie Residency.
Connole’s book ‘The floor of my mind’ is available from the Bookshop at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, and The Handheld Gallery, Melbourne. Her work features in the collections of AXA Insurance, Wesley College Dublin, Galway County Council, Clare County Arts Office and the Kilkenny Arts Office.
