Marie Connole MFA is a graduate of the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, and NUI Galway/Burren College of Art. Member of Ground Up Artists’ Collective and currently working on “Aughty Projects ”, with Emma Houlihan and Jim Ricks, curated by Dr. Áine Phillips, Summer – Autumn 2010. Connole has worked with Clare County Arts Office, IMMA, and the Burren College of Art. She has been awarded residencies at the Kilkenny Arts Office, and at SIM, the Association of Icelandic Visual Artists, in Reykjavík. In 2009 she exhibited with artist Mary Noonan in the two-person exhibition ‘The habit of remembering’ at Draíocht Arts Centre, Dublin. Her book ‘The floor of my mind’ is currently available at the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Her work is in the collections of AXA Insurance, Wesley College Dublin, 126, and the Kilkenny Arts Office. Resides in Melbourne, Australia.
