As Above, So Below explores the influence of folk narratives and customs from the west coast of Ireland through the lens of memory and personal history.
Of particular focus is the mythical tale of Kilstipheen (Cill Stíopháin) in Liscannor Bay. Covered by water the village is said to become visible for one day every seven years. The tale shares striking parallels with the fabled islands of Atlantis and Hy-Brasil.
This series featured in a six-month solo exhibition at the Irish Arts Center New York in 2017 and at Ennistymon Courthouse Gallery in 2018.
